Makenzie Dustman is a professional dancer/choreographer from Southern California, living in Los Angeles. In 2013 she appeared on Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance Season 10 as a top ten contestant and returned to Season 11 as a So You Think You Can Dance All Star. Makenzie has also been featured on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars and NBC’s Little Big Shots as a guest performer. Makenzie was a professional assistant for Break The Floor’s NUVO Dance Convention for 3 seasons and became a part of Stacey Tookey’s professional contemporary company, “Still Motion” in 2015.
She is in the upcoming feature dance film, “High-strung Free Dance”, choreographed by Tyce Diorio and Phillip Chbeeb. She has also appeared as an actress in MTV’s Awkward Season 5 and has danced commercially alongside celebrities Neil Patrick Harris and Hugh Jackman. Makenzie toured Europe as a dancer and choreographer’s assistant for the Olympic ice skating show, “Art On Ice”. She performed for singing artist’s Jessie J, The Jacksons, Chaka Kahn, Tom Odell, Nelly Furtado, Justin Bieber, Anna Kendrick, Khalid, and Fuller House. Her love for Europe took her to Amsterdam in 2018 to be an assistant choreographer for the world renown contemporary dance company, Nederlands Dans Theatre, for their program “Reunion of I”.
In 2018/19 she lived in Shanghai, China for the summer to choreograph and be Artistic Director’s creative consultant for the most popular Chinese dance show, “Street Dance of China”. Makenzie specializes in contemporary floor work and teaches weekly at the popular Los Angeles dance studio, Millennium Dance Complex.
